      Return & Refund Policy

      At Locoshop.in, we aim to provide a trusted shopping experience by connecting buyers with local vendors. Since products are sold and delivered by individual vendors, return and refund policies may vary by store. This policy outlines the general framework for returns and refunds across the platform.


      1. Return Eligibility

      Buyers may request a return if:

      • The item is damaged, expired, or defective

      • The wrong product was delivered

      • The product is significantly different from the description

      Note: Products like perishable goods (e.g., fruits, vegetables, dairy) are generally non-returnable unless damaged or spoiled at delivery time.


      2. Return Request Timeframe

      Buyers must initiate a return within:

      • 24 hours of delivery for perishable items

      • 3 days of delivery for all other eligible products

      Late requests may be rejected unless the vendor allows an extended return window.


      3. Return Process

      To initiate a return:

      1. Go to My Orders > Request Return

      2. Select the item and reason

      3. Upload photos if needed (for damaged/wrong items)

      4. Wait for the vendor to accept or reject the request

      Once accepted:

      • A pickup will be scheduled (if applicable), or

      • You may need to return the product in-person to the store (for hyperlocal delivery)


      4. Refund Process

      Refunds are processed only after the vendor accepts the return.

      • Payment Method:

        • UPI/Online: refunded to the same account within 5–7 business days

        • COD: refund issued as wallet credit or bank transfer, as decided by vendor


      5. Items Not Eligible for Return or Refund

      • Fresh foods, dairy, bakery, and similar perishables

      • Digital products or recharges

      • Items damaged due to misuse by the buyer

      • Opened personal care or hygiene items


      6. Dispute Resolution

      If a vendor denies a valid return request or delays a refund:

      • Contact Locoshop Support at support@locoshop.in

      • We may intervene and assist based on proof and case details

      • Our decision is final in case of unresolved disputes


      7. Vendor-Specific Policies

      Some vendors may have their own return and refund rules. Buyers are encouraged to check the vendor’s store page before ordering.

      Locoshop.in is not liable for refund delays caused by vendors, but we monitor vendor compliance strictly to ensure buyer satisfaction.
